Works With:

ContentSeed works with every editor you can imagine, in fact, I've got a
client in Washington State who's so "old school" she won't use anything but a
text editor to create websites...![]()
Regardless of whether you use FrontPage, Expression Web, Go Live, Dreamweaver, or even Notepad to create websites, ContentSeed will work for you.
ContentSeed also works with website templates from places like
Template Monster,
Classy Themes,
PixelMill, or
templates you make yourself.
It'll even work with those "old school" FrontPage specific themes and
templates.
ContentSeed also works within shopping cart applications like CandyPress,
Comersus,
ZenCart,
OsCommerce, etc.
Note: FWIW; My all time favorite shopping cart is
CandyPress
Basically, if it can be seen in a browser you can get ContentSeed
integrated. If you've got a question about a specific use feel
free to contact me. ![]()

I have a developers license for Content Seed. The product is excellent and I use it all the time for clients.
What will happen when I switch over to Microsoft Expression Web Developer?
Thanks for making such an excellent product – still the best and easiest to use! - 12-06-06 USA
Have I told you lately how GREAT ContentSeed is?
Saves me so much time messing with my listings!
Thanks, Randy
What It Does:
CContentSeed is the most simple way to allow clients the ability to edit
the content on their pages, without the possibility of damaging or
changing things outside their allowed area...![]()
It's so simple I hesitate to call it a Content Management System (CMS). I'd feel more comfortable with the term Content Editing System, but I don't think CES is an actual acronym for this.
All your client needs to do is visit a page that you've "seeded", hit
control-y on their keyboard and log in.
From this point the can change the text, upload images, add links, and
anything else they want to do within the area of the page you've given
them editing privileges over.
There's no publishing or uploading on their part and any changes they make to the content are instantly visible on the front-end of the website.
They don't need any special software on their local computer.
Internet Explorer or FireFox will work just find from a Windows system,
and on a Mac they can edit through Safari or FireFox for Mac.
If you've got a very inexperienced user you can remove buttons from
the editor toolbar easily (from the online "deployer" interface), and/or
apply "author" permissions to pages you want them to be able to edit.
This keeps some of the higher level functions out of view for them.![]()
How It Works:
ContentSeed is available in three scripting versions: ASP, PHP, and
ASP.net. There's a version for virtually any server a site might
be hosted on and doesn't require a database...![]()
One of the first things that went into the construction of ContentSeed was the requirement to make it easy. Not just easy for the end user to edit content but for the web site designer to deploy. ContentSeed requires no database and keeps all it's content in a single text file. Images can be easily uploaded from your client's local computer for use in their content, as well as other types of files such as PDF, SWF, ZIP, etc.
It's easy from an operational standpoint too. You'll only need to add one little snippet of code to each page you want dynamic content to exist in. It's always the same code regardless of the page name or folder depth.
Besides being easy on your clients and easy for you to deploy you can actually use it to make your design process much easier. By this I'm specifically meaning the query string method of using ContentSeed. Imagine how much more simple site updates to the "look" and "feel" of a website would be if there was only one "real" page.
ContentSeed even makes the "after build" phase easier because you
clients can update the pages themselves without needing your help.
This makes it great for sites with frequently changing content like
Churches, Charities, Real-Estate agents, Car Dealers, Restaurants, Night
Clubs, etc.![]()
